With Venturefest just around the corner, the North West’s biggest annual innovationevent is pleased to announce founder and CEO of fast-growing content sharing platform Wakelet, Jamil Khalil as the latest ‘Three Tribes’ panel member.

Wakelet’s mission is to help people, artists, bands, sport clubs, businesses and academic institutions to organise their online information, making it easier to find and share.

Over the past three years, Jamil has put together a passionate team from a LinkedIn appeal to build the Wakelet platform. His recent work has secured £1m+ investment from investors both in the UK and US, including backing from the original publishers of Angry Birds.

Jamil will join James Akrigg, head of technology for partners at Microsoft; Phil Smith, CEO of Cisco; and Abdul Alim, co-founder of OfferMoments, at the event taking place at The Point on 22nd September.

The event, which is being led by the Business Growth Hub, with support from Innovate UK and the Knowledge Transfer Network, will bring together high growth business leaders from key sectors such as advanced manufacturing, low carbon and the digital and creative media sector. Jamil will be on the ‘Three Tribes’ panel which will shed light on how to bring innovative new concepts to market.

Registration is still open for the event so make sure you don’t miss out!
